The following 10-month, Level 2 position is available for the 26-27 school year:

 

Library Clerk

Wayne Elementary School

7 hours/day, 221 days/year

Qualifications:

• High school diploma
• Ability to communicate effectively with staff, students, parents, and vendors in person, on the phone and via email
• Strong organizational skills, with attention to detail and the ability to prioritize and multitask
• Knowledge  of Destiny Library System  and ACCESS PA Preferred
• Knowledge of library technical processing
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and database management
• Prerequisite skills testing
• Prior experience in a library setting desirable

Essential Functions:

• Processing of books and audio-visual materials
• Prepare all purchase orders electronically. Monitor the billing and receipt of all library materials and supplies. Track and report budgets
• Process and file shelflist cards for all materials
• Maintain computer catalog records in ACCESS PA and maintain and create  MARC records
• Fill the positions of Circulation Desk Aide as needed for coverage and provide support
• Decide on, set up, maintain and discard as appropriate all files as needed  
• Perform opening procedures, correspondence, pick up, sort and distribute mail, straighten and shelve books,  maintain supply lists, collection records and other duties as assigned by the Librarian 

Hourly Rate Range: $19.70-25.75
