Speech-Language (1.0) Therapist

District-wide

 

The Radnor Township School District is currently seeking a Speech-Language Therapist to provide services to children as part of the Multi-disciplinary team.  The Speech Therapist will promote the development of communication skills through assessment, program planning and direct service.  In addition, the Speech Therapist will provide clinical direction, training, and oversight of speech therapy in their assigned building.  Candidates must have expertise in the areas of learning disabilities, auditory processing, articulation/phonology, fluency, and Autism Spectrum Disorder.

 

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in related field, required
• Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and current PA Licensure as Speech-Language Pathologist
• Two years’ experience providing speech-language therapy service to students who have a diagnosis of Autism and are non-verbal

Responsibilities:

• Plan, administer, and interpret appropriate testing to gather data for the development and/or revision of the IEP
• Develop and implement individualized IEP goals and objectives aiming to promote communication skills, including expressive language, the ability of verbal expression, receptive language, and augmentative communication, when appropriate
• Work collaboratively with other members of the student’s multidisciplinary team, other related service professionals, school district personnel, outside service providers, and the student’s family to design and implement appropriate services
