The following Long-term Substitute position may be available
for the 1st Semester of the 2019-20 school year :
Secondary LTS Technology Education Teacher
Radnor Middle School
Qualifications:
- PA Certificate in Technology Education
Performance Responsibilities:
- Plan and present a program of study that meets the individual needs of students in Technology Education
- Instruct with an emphasis on hands-on learning methods
- Instruct with an emphasis on relevancy of subject matter in the every day world
- Provide a classroom climate conducive to learning stressing safety, responsibility and skill learning
- Develop lessons with an emphasis on active student learning
- Instruct with the use of technology
- Assess, prescribe and evaluate student performance based upon objective centered instruction
- Work collaboratively with staff to prepare students to take common exams (semester and final)
- Work collaboratively with staff to develop lesson plans, tests and syllabi
- Adhere to state, district and school policies
- Communicate with parents and community on a regular basis
- Work on school and district curriculum committees, as needed
- Carry out other assignments as designated by the principal

Additional Requirements:
- Completion of PDE required training (on-line training courses)
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- May be required to lift up to 40 lbs.
