The following full-time contract position may be available
in the 2023-24 school year:
Elementary Special Education Teacher
Ithan Elementary School
Qualifications:
- PA Certificate – Special Education PreK-8, or Special Education PK-12 required
- Elementary classroom experience, preferred
- Knowledge and experience working with students with academic, and social/emotional needs
- Knowledge and experience with writing IEPs/Positive Behavior Support Plans
Responsibilities:
- Plan and present a program of study that meets the needs of individual students
- Write and revise IEPs, and conduct IEP meetings
- Provide climate conducive to active student learning
- Work collaboratively with staff to support student learning
- Communicate regularly with families
- Adhere to state, district and school policies and procedures
- Carry out other assignments as designated by principal/supervisor(s)

Additional Requirements:
- Completion of PDE required training (on-line training courses)

- May be required to lift up to 40 lbs.
