A N T I C I P A T E D  V A C A N C Y

The following 10-month, Level 2 position may be available immediately:

Attendance/Discipline Secretary

Radnor Middle School

 7 hours/day, 221 days/year

                                                                                                                       

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to exercise judgment, display tact, diplomacy, and sensitivity
  • Ability to collaborate well with administrators, teachers, support staff, students, and the community
  • Ability to lift at least 15 pounds
  • Strong letter writing and editing skills and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and database management.
    • Prerequisite skills testing, required 

Responsibilities:         

  1. Process the daily attendance
    1. Complete morning attendance,
    2. record attendance in student management system,
    3. distribute attendance list to staff,
    4. reconcile the attendance with late arrivals, calls, and notes.
  2. Process the discipline record as directed by building administrators
    1. Record the discipline,
    2. send reports to parents and appropriate staff, as determined by building administration.
  3. Complete secretarial duties, including filing and record keeping for attendance and discipline.
  4. Provide coverage for secretaries during lunch break(s) as assigned by the principal.
  5. Assist other secretaries with general school mailings and projects.
  6. Complete other duties as assigned by the building principal and assistant principals.

Hourly Rate Range: $17.13 - $22.72

Additional Requirements:

  • Completion of PDE required training (on-line training courses)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • May be required to lift up to 40 lbs.
